The Together for Limb-Girdle Foundation has been officially recognised by the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst) as a Public Benefit Organisation (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling). This means your gift to our foundation qualifies for tax deduction in the Netherlands.
ANBI stands for Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling, a Public Benefit Organisation recognised by the Dutch Tax Administration. It is the official designation that confirms an organisation works in the public interest, not for personal gain.
To be granted ANBI status, an organisation must meet strict requirements set by the Belastingdienst. At least 90% of its activities must serve the public benefit, the board may not receive excessive remuneration, and the organisation must operate with full financial transparency.
For donors, ANBI status is meaningful in a very practical way: your contributions are eligible for tax deduction under Dutch law.
90%+ of activities serve the public interest
Board members receive no remuneration
Full financial transparency and reporting
Funds directed exclusively toward LGMD research
Because we are an ANBI, gifts to our foundation are tax-deductible in the Netherlands, for both private individuals and companies.
Your donations can be deducted from your income tax. Gifts you commit to over five years (a periodic donation) are fully deductible.
Businesses can deduct gifts to an ANBI from their taxable profit.
Bequests left to an ANBI are exempt from inheritance tax, so your full gift reaches our mission.
The exact thresholds depend on your situation. For the current rules, see belastingdienst.nl or ask your tax adviser.
We believe trust is built through openness, so we publish our details for anyone to check. Our ANBI status can be verified at any time in the official public register of the Dutch Tax Administration.
Simply search by our name or RSIN number, 869479660, on the Belastingdienst website. We also publish our information through the central ANBI portal.

Our board and remuneration policy, our objective, vision and 2026–2030 policy plan, and how we use and report our funds are all published on our Financial Accountability page.
View Financial AccountabilityBecause we are an ANBI, a portion of what you give may come back to you through your annual tax return, which means your net cost of donating is lower, while our mission receives the full amount.
